Is Soil Injection Really Necessary?

In a lot of areas of North Texas builders have to contend with challenging soil conditions. Expansive clay, which shrinks under dry conditions and swells during wet conditions, creates potential issues when hard concrete, a foundation, is placed on top of it. Minimizing soil movement under a concrete foundation is key to preventing issues in the future and while it may not be required by any regulations, soil injection can be a great tool in the right situations.

Every Thoroughbred Custom Homes build begins with a soil sample being taken and a report being written by an engineer. This soil report will describe the soil conditions, recommended steps that should be taken, recommended foundation types and more. So is soil injection really necessary? When the engineer recommends soil injection, it typically becomes a requirement for TCH as we strive for hassle free homeownership for our clients.
